Mary Joy's father earns $4 a day as a farmer. Her mother is a utility worker with an income of $122 a month. She also does the chores and Mary Joy helped her in taking care of her siblings. So that the education of her siblings will not be more affected due to their financial crisis, she decides to have free high school education in a far place. She gets lonely but she will endure it for her family. She studies diligently her lessons and she likes to participate in their class. She joins Book Lovers Club and Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Club. She wishes to become a soldier to promote peace and order in her country.
